Has anyone solved this mystery? On the first level of Miner's Deep, just south of the train station, there is an area with a chest inside that I cannot access. The first 10-15 times I was there, I sensed it, but I wrote it off as an overly sensitive Rogue. But this time, for reasons unknown, <B>'''I SAW THE CHEST'''</B> through one of those walls that pulses in and out of sight (illusion walls). Even though I could see it, I still could not reach it!<br/><br />

Here is the chest, visible (sometimes but not always!) through the illusory wall. Note the Ouch!! message as I tried to walk through the mostly invisible wall.<br />

So how do I get to it? And why do the walls sometimes appear completely solid and sometimes appear to be illusions? I have tried at various times of the day, guessing midnight and dawn as the most likely times to enter, but still can't get through the wall! Shatter Walls has no effect, even on the two sections of wall that sometimes let me see the chest.<br/><br />
