My hunter is using 3 item slots to hold a total of 20 arrows. One stack holds 2 arrows, another 3 and the third has 15. <br/>

Throwing knives seem to stack automatically, why don't all the stackables?<br/>

Why don't any arrows get recovered, like throwing knives, at the end of combat?

When using a ranged weapon, the first available arrow stack will be used. Automatic combining would be a nice feature indeed, I will think about this.<br/>
Arrows are per Design One-Time-Use only. Their shaft will become unusable once fired :-)<br/>

Strange, the reason I had 3, less than 20, stacks is that I ran out of a stack, once, and had to manually equip another. Since then I have been selling stacks when they get less than 5 and replacing them with a new stack.<br/>
I will have to try running out a stack again.

When a stack of arrows runs out there should be a reload button in combat options for that character. It should then equip the best arrow type you have. I haven even gotten this option when I run out of arrows during the that round of a combat and a new one starts with the archer having no arrows equipped.

OK! When I run out of arrows from one stack the game automatically starts on a new stack. This takes a turn in the combat round, so it is still better to try to ensure that you don't run out.<br/>

At the moment I am using an Elf Bow and arrows, purchased in the shop in Deeper Forest. My hunter ( level 14) is getting a critical hit about every second or third shot. I am still getting chewed up in the Buriel Mound.
